On August 2, 2015, LITER OF LIGHT volunteers gave visitors to the first Solar Energy Festival in Manila the chance to build solar Streetlights and Night lights for struggling communities in the Philippines.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners and the hard work of students from the Technical Institute of the Philippines and the University of Santo Tomas, volunteers and visitors were able to build 150 solar streetlights that will improve the lives of villagers in Mindanao.
In more than 15 countries around the world, LITER OF LIGHT puts low-cost, high-quality solar technology in the hands of the people who will benefit most from sustainable energy.

Thank you to the organizers of the Solar Energy Festival and to all the volunteers and visitors who took the time to make the promise of solar energy a reality for the people of Mindanao.
